Gmail verification

Started by: jacks (437)

Every time I log in now on Gmail, I have to go through a '2 step verification' process. I'm sent a message to my phone, and have to click on a 'Yes it's me' button. I've done it umpteen times now on the same computer (I have 2), so how can 'they' not know I am who I say I am.

I am with Sky and they use Yahoo E-mail and I am sent a 6 digit number to my mobile which I have to enter into boxes before I can open my E-mails ,I can tick a box to allow me to go into my e-mails for a month once I have entered the code

It's better that there are these security procedures in place, I for one welcome them

I take Visa payments and it's mandatory to use an Authenticator two step verification code so much safer than without

Jacks

That two stage verification thing is a pain in the backside, but you can turn it off.
